D’Arcy has spent much of her life on Treaty 8 Territory - the traditional meeting ground, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Dene, Dane-zaa (Beaver), and Métis. Throughout her life, D’Arcy has witnessed the longstanding impacts of colonialism and understands the importance of challenging systems that perpetuate colonial harm. She is dedicated to unlearning oppressive colonial practices, acknowledging difficult truths, and building relationships that are grounded in kindness, reciprocity, and mutual respect.

D'Arcy began her career in Vancouver, completing her Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing at Douglas College in 2019. Since graduating, D’Arcy has worked in both hospital and community settings. Her work experiences have fostered a passion for supportive and collaborative mental health care. She firmly believes in a therapeutic relationship that is empowering, inclusive, equitable, and anti-oppressive. In her practice, she strives to create a culturally sensitive space, where individuals are seen, heard, and valued for who they are.

D’Arcy believes in using a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy. She has received training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) skills, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She is passionate about supporting individuals in navigating depression, anxiety, grief and loss, emotion regulation, self-harm, and suicide ideation.

D’Arcy provides both in-person and virtual therapy services to children, teens, and adults in Fort McMurray and the greater Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. D’Arcy is passionate about increasing Indigenous access to mental health care and prioritizes Indigenous mental health care in her practice.
